Hole Fourteen

Hole Descriptions

Hole 14 is a very short, downhill par 3 golf hole that is sure to be a very memorable golf hole for all who play it.

Playing quite steeply downhill, the green is surrounded at the back, front-right and front-left by 3 well shaped bunkers. The bunkers encapsulate a 3 lobed green that is low on the front and left, with a step up to the rear right portion.

With any such hole of this length, club selection is the primary focus, but in this case, it is somewhat complicated by the quite severe downhill configuration of the golf hole. The secret will in most cases be to aim slightly left of target, towards the front left bunker, but this will require quite a lot of mental toughness, because from the tee, this appears to be the smallest target.

In reality, however, this is the best place to miss the green, because even a recovery shot from the front-left bunker will be much easier to execute than a recovery from either of the other bunkers, which are for the most part shooting onto areas of the green that are downhill.

A tricky little hole, it will generate quite a deal of satisfaction for those who happen to choose the right club and mange to place the ball on the green with their tee shot.
